Compress video in your browser — nothing uploaded
Runs locally · No upload · No account · Files never leave this device

MP4 · WebM · MOV · stays on this device
Privacy: the file is read only in this tab’s memory. Nothing is uploaded to our servers.
How it works
- You pick a video. It stays in browser memory (File API).
- A local encode path (planned: ffmpeg.wasm / WebCodecs) re-encodes on your CPU/GPU — not on our servers. This launch build’s encode hook may still be a stub.
- You download the smaller file. Open DevTools → Network while working: you should see no upload of the media file.
Limits
- MVP formats: MP4, WebM, MOV. Other containers may fail with a clear message.
- Device power: long 4K clips need desktop memory; phones may run out of RAM or take a long time.
- Targets are goals, not guarantees: some sources cannot fit an 8 MB or 25 MB cap without cutting resolution or length.
- No cloud account: we do not store your videos. Closing the tab clears in-memory file handles.
- Rights: only compress video you own or are allowed to process.

FAQ
Is my video uploaded?
No. Compression runs in your browser with ffmpeg.wasm. The file never leaves your device.
Which formats work?
MVP targets MP4, WebM, and MOV. Other containers may fail or be rejected with a clear message.
Will it work on my phone?
Large videos are slow or may run out of memory on mobile. Desktop Chrome or Firefox is recommended for long clips.
Is it free?
Yes. No account and no watermark in the MVP.
How do I hit WhatsApp or email limits?
Use the task presets (e.g. under 16MB / 25MB) or pick a target file size; the tool re-encodes until it fits or tells you it cannot.
